THE VISUAL RECIPE

Understand the idea

Composition: Repair small tears, dust and fading while retaining the original crop and composition. Prioritise visible details over imagined reconstruction.
Light & materials: Natural tonal recovery and restrained sharpening; keep period-appropriate grain and avoid waxy skin or oversaturated colour.
Check the result: Do not invent missing facial details as fact. Keep black-and-white unless colourisation is explicitly requested, and label major reconstructions.

REFERENCE: Use the attached authorised image as the base and preserve the details not explicitly selected for change.
QUALITY CHECKS: Do not invent missing facial details as fact. Keep black-and-white unless colourisation is explicitly requested, and label major reconstructions. Check object count, edges, shadows and unintended extra elements before finishing.

Produce the image rather than a description of the image. When image creation is unavailable, explain that limitation instead of claiming an image was produced. Treat the requested ratio as a compositional target, not a promise of exact print dimensions.
